The rules

A few rules keep this a place worth playing. They are short on purpose: be kind, protect what people build, and play it straight. Java and Bedrock, same world, same expectations.

Claim and trust commands

Respect everyone

This is a crossplay community. Java and Bedrock players share one survival world, so chat stays welcoming to everyone.

No harassment

No targeted abuse, threats, or pile-ons. Disagree about a build or a trade without making it personal.

Crossplay-friendly chat

Bedrock and Java players play together. Help newcomers, and never gatekeep someone for their device or platform.

Keep it all-ages

People of many ages share this world. Keep topics, names, and skins appropriate for a mixed audience.

Protect builds

Everything you make is yours to keep. Claiming land is free and takes seconds, and it is the single best way to keep your work safe.

Claim itUse the golden shovel to claim land. GriefPrevention protects everything inside your claim.
No griefingDo not break, burn, or alter another player's builds. Respect claimed and unclaimed work alike.
No stealingTaking from claims, chests, or shops you were not trusted with is off limits.
Trust on purposeOnly /trust people you actually want building or opening containers in your claim.

Play fair

Survival is the whole point. Earning your gear, your levels, and your champion kills is what makes the world feel real.

No cheating

No hacked clients, fly, reach, kill aura, or movement cheats. The challenge is the fun, including The Fractured Veil champions.

No x-ray or exploits

X-ray resource packs, exploits, and game-breaking glitches are not allowed. If a bug feels too good, report it instead of abusing it.

No duping

Item, money, and entity dupes ruin the economy for everyone. Don't dupe, and don't trade duped goods.

Anti-cheat is active

Anti-cheat runs for Java players around the clock. Play clean and you will never notice it.

Keep it civil in chat

Chat is shared across the whole server. Keeping it readable and friendly is on all of us.

No spamDon't flood chat, repeat messages, or wall it with caps and symbols.
No slursSlurs and hate speech earn no warning curve. Keep language clean for a mixed-age crowd.
No advertisingDon't promote other servers, stores, or links. Talk about AOW SMP here.
One language goalKeep chat clear and kind so newcomers on any device feel at home.

Build with courtesy

One shared world means your builds and machines affect your neighbours. A little space keeps the world smooth for everyone.

Space out

Give other players room. Don't box in, wall off, or build directly against someone else's claim to crowd them out.

No lag machines

Avoid oversized farms, redstone clocks, and entity stacks that drag down server performance for the whole world.

Clean up

Fill your tunnels, put out your fires, and don't leave floating eyesores or trapped mobs behind near spawn and roads.

Consequences

We would rather coach than punish. Most issues end at a friendly reminder. The ladder below is the usual path, always at staff discretion.

1. WarnA heads-up and a chance to fix it. Most situations stop right here.
2. MuteA timeout from chat for spam or language that keeps going after a warning.
3. TempbanA temporary ban for griefing, stealing, or repeat offences.
4. BanA permanent ban for cheating, duping, or serious harm. Severe cases skip straight here.

Staff use judgement. Intent, history, and the impact on other players all matter, and we will always rather see you back than gone for good.

Questions?

Not sure if something is allowed? The honest answer is usually to ask first.

Ask staff or hop in Discord

Ask staff in-game any time, or hop in our Discord to check before you build, trade, or report something. We would always rather answer a quick question than hand out a warning.
