AoW SMP is built to feel good on both Java and Bedrock. A whole family of in-house quality-of-life plugins smooths over the rough edges of crossplay — frozen skies, missing coordinates, no off-hand button — and adds the little comforts that make a survival server pleasant to actually live in. Everything here is vanilla-item, ADD-only, and crossplay-safe. Bedrock players: remember your name carries a . prefix, so type it in commands exactly as shown.
/aow1 Start Here
New to the comfort suite? A few commands cover almost everything.
/aowOne menu to rule them all. Opens a clickable GUI that links every QoL feature, setting, and toggle on the server. If you only remember one command, remember this one.
/guideThe written welcome book — server rules, how-to pages, and quick links. Handed to you on first join; re-open it any time to brush up on the basics.
/dailyClaim your daily login reward and build a streak. Stop by once a day to keep the chain alive and stack up bonuses.
/aow works identically on Java and Bedrock — the GUI is rendered with vanilla inventory menus, so it looks native on both clients.
2 The Bedrock HUD — Location, Time & Weather
Geyser does a heroic job translating Java to Bedrock, but a few things don't come across. AoW fills those gaps so Bedrock players never feel second-class.
/coordsShows your exact X / Y / Z. Bedrock's F3-style debug screen isn't available through Geyser, so this is your quick "where am I?" readout for navigating, sharing locations, and finding your way home.
/realtimeDisplays the true in-game server time. This is the workaround for the frozen-sky bug — gameplay time is always correct, and /realtime shows you exactly what the server clock says.
/realweatherReports the actual server weather (clear / rain / thunder). Pairs with /realtime so the Bedrock visual lag never leaves you guessing whether a storm is really rolling in.
#2790): Geyser doesn't relay the server's time-of-day to the Bedrock client, so the sky visual lags behind. Everything that matters is still correct on the server — mob hostility, Blood Moons, sleeping in beds, and all gameplay run on the real server time. Only the cosmetic Bedrock sky is affected.
/realtime / /realweather to read the true time and weather any moment you need it. Java players see the correct sky natively.
3 The Scoreboard Sidebar
The AoWScoreboard sidebar keeps your key stats glanceable on the right edge of the screen — and it's fully per-player, so you can switch it off if you like a clean view.
Toggle it your way
/aowsbToggle the AoW sidebar scoreboard on or off. Your choice is remembered per-player, so it stays the way you left it.
/sbThe quick alias for the same toggle. Flip the sidebar on or off in a single keystroke.
5 Movement & Waypoints
Get where you're going — and find your way back after a bad night.
/wpSet, name, and manage personal waypoints, then navigate back to them whenever you want. Includes an automatic death waypoint so you always know where you fell.
/unstickWedged inside a block or stuck in geometry after a teleport or chunk hiccup? /unstick frees you and gets you moving again.
/viewSet your own per-player render distance. Crank it up to admire the view, or pull it in for a smoother frame rate on a weaker device.
/syncResync your client when Bedrock drifts out of step with the server — rubber-banding, ghost blocks, or a stale inventory. A one-command refresh.
/gleamOpt-in dynamic lighting: carry a torch or glowing item and light up the area around you as you walk. Off by default — toggle it on when you want it.
/offhandBedrock has no native off-hand button, so this command swaps an item into your off-hand slot — shields, totems, maps, and more, finally usable on Bedrock.
/wp to navigate straight back to your gravesite — and AxGraves keeps your items safe in a grave while you make the trek.
6 Backtrack & Death Tools
Lost your stuff or want to know what went wrong? These tools have your back.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/deaths | Review your recent death log — when, where, and how you fell. |
/backtrack | Retrace your last location trail to recover lost gear or find where you died. |
/wp | Open waypoints, including the auto-placed death waypoint, to navigate home. |
/top | View server leaderboards and see where you rank. |
/deaths tells you where, /backtrack retraces the path, and the death /wp guides you straight to the grave. Together they make corpse runs painless.
7 Ground Items — Auto-Cleanup, Done Right
AoWGroundItems quietly keeps the world tidy without ever eating your loot.
Automatically sweeps up dropped clutter — rotten flesh, stray cobble, and the endless debris of a busy server — to keep performance smooth and the ground clean.
Smart enough to leave your important drops alone. Valuable items are protected from the cleanup sweep, so you never lose the good stuff to the broom.
8 Foods — Cook Something Special
Use /foods to craft fun, themed dishes that go beyond plain steak — each with its own flavor and effect.
A handheld classic from the AoW kitchen.
Hearty and filling — diner-style comfort food.
A slice of the good life, server-side.
Fresh and light for the road.
A refreshing drink to wash it all down.
Open the food menu with:
# Java
/foods
# Bedrock — same command, names carry the dot prefix
/foods
9 Custom Enchants
The /enchants menu adds a curated set of utility enchants that make everyday survival faster and friendlier.
| Enchant | What it does |
|---|---|
Timber | Fell a whole tree at once — chop the base and the rest comes down. |
Veinminer | Break an entire ore vein in one swing. |
Telekinesis | Mined drops go straight to your inventory — no chasing items. |
Magnetism | Pulls nearby drops and XP toward you automatically. |
Gills | Breathe easier underwater for longer dives. |
Nightseer | See clearly in the dark — built-in night vision for mining and caving. |
Timber + Telekinesis turns a forest into a full inventory of logs in seconds, and Veinminer + Magnetism makes deep-cave mining a breeze.
