Start with the exact symptom. Most AoW issues are one of four things: wrong port, Bedrock dot-name targeting, claim permissions, or forgetting which plugin owns a command.
1 I cannot connect

Quick test: if Java works but Bedrock does not, check the Bedrock UDP port first. If Bedrock works but Java does not, check your Java version and account authentication.
2 Bedrock-specific issues

3 Claims and build protection

5 Lag, view, and sync
World feels stuck
AoWSync watches for ghosted clients. Rejoin if movement or inventory does not update.
View distance
Use /view auto or /view <number> if AoWView is enabled for your rank.
Dynamic light
Use /gleam to toggle personal dynamic light behavior from AoWGleam.
